Missed the Town Hall Meeting on October 14th? Here are the takeaways:

Most of you who tried to log onto Supervisor Margaret Franklin's virtual Town Hall Meeting for BB residents were disappointed in not being able to connect the Zoom meeting Wednesday night.  The meeting was hosted by Supervisor Franklin's office and BBHOA played no role except announcing it to the HOA residents.  Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties on their end the Zoom site was never connected.  Finally, a new site was created, but HOA was not in a position to broadcast the new site to the residents.  Therefore, only a small number of residents were notified and able to participate in the meeting.

I did not log on until nearly the end of the meeting.  My takeaway from the short duration was that Supervisor Franklin fully appreciated the beauty and uniqueness of Belmont Bay and assured us that the Northern Woodbridge Small Area Plan is only a conceptual plan at this stage.   While interested in providing water access to the Occoquan River to others in the broader community, she is open to working with BB residents.  Mr. Steve Donohoe, Acting Planning Director of PWC Planning Department, was invited to the meeting to give a historical context of the development of the SAP and to answer questions on the Plan.
